Somasundarapalaya a Garbbage Point.

Are you staying in HSR layout or nearby area??? Are you getting a rotting smell.

Are you not aware of the reason then this post is meant for you. Please go through this you will get answer for most of your questions.
I purchases an apartment in somasundarapalaya some time in 2013.  That time I was impressed with the area as it is almost equal distance from all the IT hubs in bangalore. From that time onwards I was worried with the presence of Karnataka Compost Development corporation, Kudulu. It was very near to the apartment. I checked with my builder(that may be the wrong thing that I did). They started giving fake stuffs like it is the proposed LalBag !!!….

Just imagine how you will feel if a lalbag is near your home :) .

Believing all these I went ahead and purchased the apartment with a lot of dreams about the proposed LalBag.

Mean while Governmen decided to re-open the Karnataka Compost Development Corporation in Realestate term it’s a synonym for LalBag.

Some initial snaps before they started taking new loads.

They started it very slowly. Initially the news was like they are not taking any new loads. They will just process the existing garbage there and soon after finishing that they will start the construction of new Lal Bag.

Most of the Residents in nearby apartments are not from Banagalore and not even from Karnataka.
Initially people where frightened to tell about the reopening of KCDC  in public forums. The reason is quiet funny. People are worried about the Depreciation of their FLAT Price..

What depreciation Boss ??? We have bought those apartments to live there right?? According to my understanding who-ever staying in the nearby apartments are from middle class family only. So no point in shutting your mouth(Infact closing the nose because of the drastic smell). Open your mouth and start protesting against this threat.

I have heard some recent updates like people went to protest in front of the KCDC and they have stopped accepting new loads from that day. Till when they will shutt off there gates !!!! It will get reopened by April 18th 2014.

I think you might have got the reason why i quoted April 18th. Okk Leave all those …
Now a days Life has become miserable.  When ever we are entering  HSR only people use to close their nose.

I am wondering how people are suppressing their emotions in this modern world. Please start protesting against this inhuman activity.

Believe the fact that all the residents in the HSR layout are ready for a protest. But nobody knows when to start where to start and how to start.
An Aerial View of KCDC

In 2008, KCDC’s compound had huge mounds of unsegregated garbage. Residents of HSR Layout Sector II protested theabout  foul odour and even filed a PIL in this regard. The High Court ruled that since KCDC was built in 1975 much before the houses came up, people cannot stop its functioning. But it asked KCDC to take all precautionary steps in order to protect the residents. The KCDC  then stopped accepting garbage from BBMP.

So what made them to re-open now??? Is all the regulations provided by the court is fulfilled.
Some construction is happening.
We are living in a Democratic country. Still if we are not protesting against such kind of evil activities we will only have to suffer all the consequences. Actually it is directly causing two kinds of pollution one is ground water pollution and another one is air pollution.

If there is not a common forum to express your issues and suggestions related to this  we can use this blog as the forum for that.

Hope we can lead a better life in this world atleast for the future !!!!!!!!!!.

Jai Hind!

  1. I completely agree with you Mr Bharat. If we do not pretest it now then we will have to bear the consequences and we are already started living miserebly ( windows, doors closed). During 2008 KCDC stopped taking garbage due to huge protest from public.
I think some people are putting some efforts but individually or in very small groups.. in such case thier efforts might not be that effective.
I am ready to come and do whatever to solve this problem, but lets do it collectively and this one is everyone's issue.
Nothing gonna happen to solve the issue unless we come out of our homes and fight for it...

    2. Hi Bharat,
I dont know exactly as who organized the protest, but was there on that day. I added this link to my appr. fb page and will add to some more places.
I think if we try to enquire from Ishaa Lake Front Appt. we might get some clue who organised it. I just think there is already a greater group consisting selected people from different appartment but we are not aware of that. If there can be a common group which includes everybody that will be great.
